Fa’ a’ atisi  [Artist]  Statement:

These three-dimensional sculptures convey a visual statement of length, breadth and depth of experiential. I am exploring possibilities for reiterating traditional art forms, through modern materials. These work reference the falesamoa [samoan house] considering its structures and forms and the significance of the space that exist within {space in-between} the fale. The different elements/principle that occupies that space; contextualize of its status, roles, genders, and hierarchy. I’m interested in the perception of the modern Samoan culture or other words [intake with time] we live in modern revelation of time.
