Dr. Zand holds an M.S. and a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from Paris XI
University in Orsay, France; an M.S. in Organization Development Management
from the USIU in San Diego and a B.S. in Chemistry from the National
University in Tehran, Iran. Additionally he has completed coursework in
Chemical Engineering at the California State University in Long Beach .
Since 1990, he has been a member of the grant-funded Bridges
program at SDSU where he organized lab experiments and lectured. Most
recently, he has coordinated the Health Career Opportunity Program at SDSU
and taught chemistry within that program.
Dr. Zand is also fluent in three languages.
