MATH 32 Assignments

Homework will normally be assigned from the odd numbered problems at the end of each section. The homework assigned each week is due the first class period of the following week.

Homework is worth 4 points per assignment and counts for 14% of the course grade. The individual percent/letter grade on each assignment can be determined by dividing the paper-grade numerator by the denominator and multiplying by 100 [ex: 3.5/4 = 0.875, 0.875(100) = 87.5%, a B+]. You will be given 80% credit [ex: 80% of 4 is 0.80(4) = 3.2] for late homework. Homework is late if it is turned in after the test which covers the sections for that assignment.

When I grade the homework, I will check to see that all of the assigned problems are done and that work is shown where needed. I expect you to at least try something on every problem, even if you can not get the correct answer or do not understand it. Ask question in class on problems which give you difficulty.

Extra Credit assignments are labeled EC. Extra Credit assignments are worth 4 points each and may be handed in any time up to the Final Exam for full credit. Material covered in extra credit assignments will not be presented on any test or the final exam.
