There is a form to fill in at the bottom of the

Please read this first:
The San Diego Mesa College LRC provides
hosting services for faculty and staff members who wish to maintain an
"unofficial" website on campus servers.
Please review the following information:
Local Procedures at Mesa:
- Please use the
following form to request an unofficial web publishing account on a Mesa
College faculty support web server. These accounts are offered to Contract
Faculty, Adjunct Faculty currently teaching on the Mesa College Campus, and
Mesa Classified Staff. These accounts allow either FTP or FrontPage
Extensions access. Users are responsible for managing their own web sites.
- Accounts will be
renewed each year. Unused publishing accounts will be reviewed annually and
may be deactivated if no changes have been published within the last 12
months. A notification email will be sent to the address you provided when
you set the account up one month before the account is deactivated. If an
account is deactivated due to non-use, the files will be backed up and saved
by the webmaster for a period of one year.
- To obtain an account
you must review the
District and
Mesa Web publishing policies and indicate on this form that you will
comply with these procedures.
- The first (home) page
of an individual’s web site MUST carry the following disclaimer:
"This unofficial web site or page is maintained and owned by (enter your
name here). Content provided does not reflect the views or opinions of the
San Diego Community College District or San Diego Mesa College. Comments
about the content on this site should be directed to the web site owner at:
(enter your e-mail address). "
- Limited assistance with
the creation and maintenance of your web site is available through Center
for Independent Learning. Please contact either
Hank Beaver or
Robert Michaels for more information about training.
From SDCCD Procedure 6100.1:
- Unofficial websites are
constructed by individuals or groups of individuals to discuss, portray or
illustrate various topics, and are hosted or linked with District servers.
Unofficial web pages have not undergone the District approval process as
defined in SDCCD Procedure 6100.1 section (III)(B)(2)(a). While authors of
such information are encouraged to adhere to standards of civility and
professionalism, this information remains the property and responsibility of
the individuals who create them, not the District.
- The District and
college names and logos are the property of the District. The names may not
be used to "imply, indicate or otherwise suggest that any organization, or
any product or service of the organization is connected or affiliated with,
or is endorsed, favored, or supported by, or opposed by one or more
California community colleges…" (Ed Code 72000).
- The District does not
routinely edit, screen or monitor information posted by unofficial authors,
whether or not originated by unofficial authors or third parties, and does
not accept any responsibility or liability for such information.
- Unofficial pages can
embody useful information, or provide a service to the college community,
including expression of opinion or artistic sensibility not universally
shared. Oversight of such pages is not a District obligation or prerogative,
even when they are conveyed through District-owned servers.
- The first page of an
individual’s website MUST carry the following disclaimer:
"This unofficial website or page is maintained and owned by (enter your name
here). Content provided does not reflect the views or opinions of the San
Diego Community College District, (College Name or Center for Education and
Technology). Comments about the content on this site should be directed to
the website owner at: (enter your e-mail address). "
- Unofficial hosted sites
or pages are not to be used for personal profit or gain.
Please fill out the form below. You will be notified by email when your
account is established and provided with log on procedures and your password.
Account setup should
take only a couple of work days to accomplish.
